A Quick introduction to Reiki
Reiki as we know it today originated with a Japanese-born Buddhist monk, Dr Mikao Usui. It involves the transfer of universal energy to recharge the energy fields around the body. The word Reiki is Japanese. Re means ‘ray of light’ and ki means ‘universal life force energy’.
When a person feels stressed, ill, fearful, drained and tired, Reiki healing can bring things back into balance. Reiki healing is available to all of us, no matter what our religious or spiritual beliefs may be.
The popularity of Reiki is increasing in New Zealand. While it’s not a conventional form of medicine, its efficacy is recognised by many in the health sector. In the USA and Europe, a number of respected hospitals offer Reiki services to their patients.
Reiki is used to treat many ailments and conditions: anxiety, grief and loss, depression, obesity, chronic pain, back pain, cancer, heart disease, infertility, insomnia, neurodegenerative disorders, autism, Crohn's disease and fatigue syndromes.
Our Reiki training courses
Divine Connection’s Reiki training is provided by Angelene, our Reiki Master Teacher, in Auckland New Zealand. We provide a seperate course for each Level, all courses are in person.
Reiki training Level 1
This is your first step onto the Reiki practitioner ladder. What you learn with this foundational course will teach you how to help others; it will also allow you to rebalance yourself. You will learn the history of Reiki, about chakras and auras, how to understand sacred symbols, how to tune into universal energy and basic hand positions for Reiki healing. At completion of the course, you’ll receive a Reiki 1 certificate.
Weekend Course - $220 including GST
Reiki training Level 2
This intensive course includes meditation, the Reiki breath, sacred symbols, advanced hand positions, distance Reiki, animal Reiki techniques and much more. It’s designed for people who want to become serious Reiki healers, for others and themselves. You need to complete Reiki Level 1 before you can take this course.
Three -day course –price on request
Reiki training Level 3
This course teaches youhow to become a Reiki Master. Completion of Levels 1 and 2 is required before you can train for Level 3. We also recommend a minimum of 6 months at Level 2 before you progress to Level 3. You will learn the most advanced Reiki techniques, strengthen your connection to the universal life force energy and consciousness, learn more about absent or distant Reiki, learn the Reiki heart attunement, and make a deep commitment to Reiki practice.

Reiki training Level 3A
This level of Reiki training will allow you to become a Reiki teacher. As a teacher you will be able to help others attune to Reiki and become practitioners.
